The Post Office's nationwide network of around 18,000 post offices
serves 28 million customers every week and is one of Europe's largest
retail chains; larger than all of the main banks and building societies
put together. More than nine out of every ten of the UK population
live within a mile of a post office.
We want you to be able to offer our customers a wide- ranging,
warm, friendly and efficient service. Quite simply, with your help
we are aiming to be the UK's number one choice and the best at what
we do.

Our nationwide network of post offices puts us in a leading position
as Europe's largest retailer. We can boast an unrivalled presence
in the community as a trusted provider of services, catering for
the needs of our customers in every location.
Delivering new business
A comprehensive range of products and services is offered by the
Post Office through its unique Post Office network. The majority
of these products are sold on behalf of clients such as the Benefits
Agency, Girobank, Co-operative Bank, the BBC, British Gas, BT, the
DVLA and local councils as well as our own Royal Mail and Parcelforce
Worldwide products. The Post Office is also the largest retailer
for the National Lottery, with 4,000 post offices selling on- line
tickets and around 9,500 selling National Lottery Instants.
