If you're thinking seriously about making this business commitment you can click here to download a brochure entitled 'An opportunity to manage the business of everyday life'. Alternatively, click here to request a printed copy of the brochure. Although it repeats much of the information contained on this web-site, it does include more in-depth detail about the different types of Post Office branches, including real case studies of current sub-postmasters, and a comprehensive list of all of the products and services that you could expect to deal with at your Post Office branch.
Once you have found a Post Office branch for sale that you
are interested in and assessed whether you think it is the
right opportunity for you, you will need to make an offer
with the current sub-postmaster, via their agent and then
log onto Subpostmaster Opportunity Site and submit your application form and business plan.
Please note however that the person acquiring the private business and/or
premises in which the post office branch is situated or exchanging contracts
in connection with the purchase of the private business and/or premises,
will not be entitled to preferential consideration for the appointment of subpostmaster.
